Airflow Sciences Corporation has completed and commissioned an air flow measurement tunnel for Stulz Air Technology Systems, a manufacturer of temperature and humidity management products. The facility will be used to measure airflow and certify the performance of Stulz’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. Its design follows ASHRAE testing protocols.
The project follows a similar tunnel commissioned for Q-PAC, which manufactures fan arrays for HVAC systems. Q-PAC uses its tunnel for product performance certification and development of new fan systems, and the facility meets AMCA testing requirements. Airflow Sciences builds these tunnels with automated operation and data collection. The development highlights the role of dedicated facilities in testing HVAC airflow performance.
