Siemens has released Simcenter Flux 2026.1, an update to its low-frequency electromagnetic simulation software for electric machines and power electronics, aiming to:
- Extend the Integral Method to transient magnetic simulations, reducing air-region meshing needs, and support non-conforming meshes for conductor and parasitic extraction analyses
- Simplify machine modeling through expanded axial flux workflows, component-based radial machine assembly, and automated magnet orientation propagation
- Add magnetic material databases from Simcenter MAGNET to support consistency and reuse of validated data
- Extend connectivity with NX geometry, Simcenter HEEDS for design optimization, and PSIM or Simcenter Amesim for system-level studies
- Explore AI-based surrogate modeling with Simcenter PhysicsAI for thermal and NVH evaluation, alongside magneto-mechanical topology optimization
