Marmion Academy, a high school in Illinois, runs the Computational Prototyping and Research Center (CPARC), where students work on real engineering projects, including challenges from local industry. The program uses Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including SIMULIA for computational fluid dynamics and other physics-based simulations, and BIOVIA to explore material properties at the molecular level. Students work across CAD, CFD, finite element analysis and molecular simulation to understand how different engineering methods connect. The program aims to provide hands-on engineering experience while developing technical, problem-solving and communication skills through simulation-based projects.
