ENGYS, a developer of open-source computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, has partnered with RBF Morph, a company specializing in mesh morphing tools, to integrate RBF Morph‘s rbfCAE platform with ENGYS’s HELYX and ELEMENTS simulation software. Mesh morphing lets engineers reshape an existing simulation model directly, without rebuilding its geometry or recreating the mesh for each design change.
The collaboration aims to bring capabilities such as shape optimization, fluid-structure interaction (FSI), reduced-order modeling (ROM), and virtual reality (VR) integration into simulation workflows, along with geometry parameterization and automated optimization studies. It is intended to support design exploration across industries including automotive, aerospace, marine, energy, and biomedical engineering.
