Designing turbomachinery such as turbines, compressors, and pumps requires both early-stage design modeling and detailed fluid flow analysis. AxSTREAM is a turbomachinery design platform that supports preliminary development using 1D mean-line and 2D streamline methods to define machine architecture, operating parameters, and blade geometry. To further evaluate performance, these designs can be transferred to Ansys CFX, a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver used to simulate fluid flow, pressure distribution, heat transfer, and loss mechanisms within the machine. The integration aims to enable a connected workflow between preliminary design and high-fidelity simulation, supporting the evaluation of aerodynamic performance while maintaining consistency between design data and simulation results during turbomachinery development.
