Specter Aerospace designs hypersonic vehicles, where mission requirements influence the vehicle’s outer shape, propulsion integration and internal components. In conventional CAD workflows, changing one part of a complex design can require downstream geometry to be repaired or rebuilt.
Working with nTop, Specter has developed parametric models of the outer shape, combustor and ducts, allowing changes such as wing sweep or inlet geometry to update related features automatically. This enables conceptual and detailed design to progress together and supports CFD, thermal analysis and MDAO workflows, aimed at helping defense programs create adaptable, cost-effective hypersonic systems.
