Siemens and Alibaba Cloud have expanded their partnership to make advanced engineering simulation and industrial AI more accessible in China. Announced at the Siemens RXD Summit in Beijing, the collaboration aims to deliver Siemens’ computer-aided engineering (CAE) portfolio as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) on Alibaba Cloud’s infrastructure, enabling engineering teams to access scalable simulation environments and high-performance computing resources through the cloud.
The partnership also explores integrating Alibaba’s Qwen large language models into Siemens’ product lifecycle management (PLM) software to support AI-driven engineering workflows. Additionally, Siemens technologies are being used in AI infrastructure projects, including Alibaba Cloud’s Zhangbei Data Center, as both companies expand capabilities for the growing AI economy.
