MathWorks has added Mevea Simulation Software to its Connections program, enabling co-simulation between Mevea and MATLAB, Simulink, or Simscape. Mevea is a real-time multibody dynamics simulation software that enables the development of physics-based digital twins. The integration allows hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing, and early assessment of machine behavior in realistic operating conditions. It combines deformable soil modeling, standard communication interfaces, export using the Functional Mockup Interface (FMI), and a real-time solver running on Linux/UNIX systems. Typical applications include earth-moving and material-handling equipment, along with early-stage concept studies. Mevea is compliant with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard.
