Gamma Technologies has announced a partnership with Gotion Illinois, a battery manufacturing company based in Manteno, Illinois, aimed at supporting next-generation battery design. Under the collaboration, Gotion Illinois is adopting GT-AutoLion, Gamma Technologies‘ physics-based battery simulation software, as a shared platform across its manufacturing, design, R&D, chemistry, thermal, controls, and battery engineering teams.
The software is intended to support battery pack safety analysis, thermal management, design of experiments, and model calibration, while also helping evaluate mechanical-electrochemical performance and emerging chemistries such as sodium-ion and solid-state batteries. The partnership also helps Gotion Illinois consolidate multiple simulation tools into one unified platform.
