Gexcon has released FLACS 25.4, the latest version of its Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software used to simulate industrial accident scenarios such as gas leaks, explosions, and fires. FLACS is commonly applied in sectors like oil and gas, chemicals, hydrogen, and carbon capture, where companies must evaluate potential hazards before facilities are built or modified.
The 25.4 release brings updates to explosion and gas dispersion modelling, refinements in how simulation cases are defined and executed, and adjustments to core solver algorithms. The update also includes interface modifications and routine maintenance fixes within the software.
