Mission engineering is evolving to become a more analytical and data-driven approach to break down and evaluate increasingly complex missions. Closing mission gaps requires stakeholders across government and industry to effectively collaborate, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) can provide a common framework for the underlying architecture composition, simulation, analysis, and design needs. The MathWorks toolchain can provide an integration platform or complement existing solutions to bridge the gap between mission modeling and MBSE. Join the webinar to explore: Leveraging mission engineering and simulation for requirements development and trade space exploration Orchestrating mission simulations through activity diagrams Modeling RF systems at multiple levels of fidelity Scenario visualization with Unreal and Cesium For registration click here.. |

Getting the most out of COMSOL simulations requires efficient use of the available simulation budget as well as validating that the simulation produces results that agree with reality. This webinar will discuss the role design of experiments, predictive machine learning models (aka surrogate models), and machine learning tools such as statistical calibration play in calibrating COMSOL simulations to physical data, validating their accuracy, and maximizing the knowledge gained from their use. Photonic crystals have a wide range of applications in light propagation as optical metamaterials with the ability to guide and filter light. Using them in the design of devices requires an understanding of how their structure interacts with light and optimizing this knowledge for the desired application. Simulation offers a uniquely useful way to achieve this understanding by enabling the modeling of the structures on several scales — from analysis of individual periodic cells to modeling the full structure. This webinar will introduce the capabilities available in the Wave Optics Module, an add-on product to COMSOL Multiphysics®, for modeling photonic crystals. In addition, a live demonstration in the software will cover how to perform a band gap calculation for a photonic crystal formed of an array of GaAs pillars. For registration click here.. |
