SUMMARY:COMSOL Day: Version 6.4
DESCRIPTION:See what is possible with multiphysics modeling\nCOMSOL Multiphysics® version 6.4 introduces new modeling and productivity features\, major performance improvements\, and expanded multiphysics capabilities. Highlights include structural explicit dynamics for high-speed events such as impacts and blasts\, the new Granular Flow Module for analyzing bulk grain and powder behavior\, and the cuDSS direct solver for NVIDIA® GPUs\, delivering significant speedups for both single-physics and multiphysics simulations. \nJoin this COMSOL Day to explore the powerful new features and enhancements in version 6.4.

SUMMARY:Webinar: Modeling Photonic Crystals in COMSOL Multiphysics
DESCRIPTION:Photonic crystals have a wide range of applications in light propagation as optical metamaterials with the ability to guide and filter light. Using them in the design of devices requires an understanding of how their structure interacts with light and optimizing this knowledge for the desired application. Simulation offers a uniquely useful way to achieve this understanding by enabling the modeling of the structures on several scales — from analysis of individual periodic cells to modeling the full structure. \nThis webinar will introduce the capabilities available in the Wave Optics Module\, an add-on product to COMSOL Multiphysics®\, for modeling photonic crystals. In addition\, a live demonstration in the software will cover how to perform a band gap calculation for a photonic crystal formed of an array of GaAs pillars. \nFor registration click here..
