Arbe Robotics, a company developing radar chipsets for automotive perception, has used Ansys simulation software since joining the Ansys Startup Program to support its radar development. According to CEO Ram Machness, one of the key challenges in radar optimization is capturing the wide range of real-world scenarios needed to train and evaluate detection algorithms, since recording every possible condition is impractical. Simulation aims to address this by modeling real-world scenes, antenna behavior, and expected performance before hardware is built, and by generating data to support machine learning development. Arbe‘s radar has also been qualified on NVIDIA’s DRIVE AGX Orin platform for autonomous driving applications.
